Staff Profile: Patricia, Executive Assistant

Patricia may have only recently joined the Bethany House team, but her compassion for the families we serve and generous nature have already made an incredible impact on our day-to-day operations.

She learned about Bethany House during her undergraduate education at Lourdes University and is “grateful to have found [her] place here where such positivity and camaraderie flows through each day,” she said. “It’s such a wonderful, safe, happy space to work,” she added.

What excites you about the mission?

I love how Bethany House takes such care and puts such consideration into everything we do. Working in a place that serves the community as we do is extremely rewarding. We are all about finding solutions to domestic violence and taking great care to protect what we value, including freedom from violence, equal opportunity for everyone and the right to live without fear.

How does your background impact your work at Bethany House?

I have extensive experience in managing business solutions and clear insight into finding better ways to do things. I would have to say my education at Lourdes was integral in helping me achieve success as the Executive Assistant to the Director.

What is a 2024 goal you are most excited to work on?

I want to help Bethany House grow and be highly successful through my support to the residents and staff. I feel I can contribute my business knowledge to systems used at Bethany House to make an impact on our success.

What is the biggest challenge those we serve are facing in 2024?

Bethany House has many talented, strong advocates who really make a difference in the care we deliver, but one of the biggest challenges is the increased need for the services we provide. We’re always trying to balance meeting the needs of those in our care and providing help and resources to those on our waiting list and at other shelters.
