Since their founding in 1916, the Sisters of St. Francis in Sylvania have powerfully impacted our community. Today, they still have a profound effect through their ministries, including Bethany House.
Having served an organization with a similar mission while living in St. Louis, Will felt a natural connection to Bethany House and is our newest board member.
After serving as Executive Director for four years, Michele stayed on to assist with the transition to a new ED. Nearly 30 years later, she’s our longest-tenured staff member.
In 1990, the Silent Witness Project began hosting community-based exhibits to make visible the tragic results of domestic violence.
New to the team in 2024, Dawn has jumped into the mission with both feet, bringing creativity and focus to each task.
Carol’s long-time employer, Toledo Edison, made Mother’s Day baskets for the moms in our program. After participating in the service project, she felt called to do more.
The Northwest Ohio Silent Witness Project features more than 50 figures and dozens of retired chest plates, each representing a life abruptly and violently ended by domestic violence.
When the time comes to move on from long-term shelter, finding safe, affordable housing can be a challenge. Step↑Up is a solution.
Funding is always a concern for nonprofits and advocacy programs, especially as state and federal financial support has declined over the years.
