Bethany House Community Program Services
Volunteer Opportunities
The volunteer program provides support to Bethany House, its staff and clients that would not otherwise be available. The volunteer program also provides an opportunity for community members to be directly active in the process of helping victims of domestic violence.
Community Education & Training
These are informational services that are provided in community meetings or workshops for the purpose of improving the community and professional understanding and response to victims of domestic violence and their children. These are usually one-time presentations made by staff.
Homeless Shelter Outreach Program
The goal of this program is to educate and assess persons residing in homeless shelters that are at-risk for domestic violence and to provide specialized domestic violence case management services to those persons that are domestic violence victims. Bethany House staff visit local homeless shelters to present information on domestic violence and to assist participants in completing a relationship danger assessment. Participants identified as domestic violence victims are offered individualized case management and referral.
Bethany House is a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio
